Anyone know the proper way to pack a Miltary duffle bag?

I have a Military duffle bag but have no opinion how to pack it! I tried folding my clothes and putting them in there one on top of the other but they end up so wrinkly!! Assistant?

What is the white stuff (paint?) on the bottom of military duffle bags?

I've seen several duffle bags (by belonging to members of the USN) that have what appears to be white paint all over the bottom end and up about 6-8 inches from the bottom all the way around. What is that? Is it some cast of waterproofing? We (in the Army) don't do that, so I'm not sure what the aim is...our duffle bags get thrown around and stuck in all sorts of orientations (laying down, etc.) so it wouldn't lend a hand unless you coated the whole thing in that stuff.

Is it paint? It looks like pale house paint.

What you're saying makes have a hunch too though. I guess I just figured my unit would palletize all of our duffles and dehydrate-wrap it to keep it all together. Makes sense to mark it per platoon.

Does the whole roll of film get ruined in Airport x-ray machines?

I brought my old Samsung SLR camera in my bag. If you guys differentiate Military duffle bags, it's not something you want to unpack. It's a nuisance.

Anyways, In the camera, I have a role of 400CN Kodak Awful and White film with 9 out of 24 exposure shots charmed. Will the whole roll of film get ruined or just the ones I took the shots with?

They call it won't , but I've had it happen to me. It used to be that you showed them the camera, move the lens, etc. so they can see it's real - but this may not apply these days. You're well-advised off finishing the roll - just to make sure. Put them in your succeed on luggage, and then you can show them at the security check. Since the machine can't see through metal, there's no urge to x-ray it.
