How can I throughly clean a leather tote bag?

I bought a worn leather tote online in excellent condition, but since it was previously used before it has some stains one the internal of the bag and a few marking on the outside. How can I give the bag a good cleaning without damaging it? Should I take it to get dry cleaned or can I disgorge it in the washer or what?

Removed bag. Try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser - I bet it'll work. I wouldn't put it in the washer - I'm apprehensive it would ruin it.

I need a Leather tote bag for under $100 for college. Any Suggestions?

I shortage a nice reliable leather (not patent) tote bag for my books at college. I would exceedingly like it to be under $100 because it's only for my school books but i'd also like it to be - pleasantly looking and preferably brown leather.
