How much leather is too much on a Suzuki GZ-250?

Just now I have medium size slant saddlebags, with a small identical sissybar bag. The bike does have a windshield. I was wondering if a fork mount road bag, matching of course, would be overkill on a small bike like mine?

That depends on how you representation yourself, and your bike. If you are comfortable with the look, go for it. I had just about the same set-up on my XL1200C, and got off-the-wall looks from other H-D riders since I was "dressing" a Sporty. I carried my deluge gear in the sissy bar bag, and my lunch in the tool bag you are describing. (Never did cary any tools in it.)

I conceive of a fork bag looks good. Especially with the windscreen. It solely makes the bike look "together". I had to get rid of the instrumentality bag on my new ride, an FXDWG, when I had a set of auxiliary lights installed. (The lights tie in in the same place as the bag used to be.) I miss the fork bag. I always thought it looked bold.

I think one of the pictures on my 360 site shows my old Smart with the tool bag. (No screen on that one.) I always thought it made the bike look haler. Bag in the back, bags on the side, why not a bag in the front? Sounds good to me! If it works for you, do it. Take care, outing safe. Ciao!

I call it a berry picker bag - anyone know proper name?

I'm looking for a berry picking gismo. It has a leather glove type top with a fabric bag on the bottom. You can put your rod, middle, and ring finger thru and then as you pick and release the berries they are caught the bag below. My grandfather had one years ago. I suppose it would be great to pick blackberries. Does anyone know the meet name for this tool? It brings back centimental memories of my grandparents.

First chapter comments? Would you read more of this spiritual sci romance future channeling...?

“We have high society! Pinching myself. Yesterday - they were primates. Grooming parasites, eating reeds. Today they’re driving! Honourable fifty thousand orbits!? How could they evolve so quickly? I want to know. We looked for the link but nothing yet. Possible I missed something, but what? Jim’s contemporary over the logs, maybe he’ll find it. Mind’s a blur - thoughts won’t put up - could go on all night, need to rest. Hope I can. Wish Rose could have seen this.”
- From p. 66 of Webster’s minutes.

Chapter 1 - The Concept

It was late winter. My legs labored to assemble the pedals on my bicycle as the frigid air bit into my cheeks and knuckles. I cursed myself for leaving my hat and gloves at the bar the sunset before. I rode slowly, steering with one hand while warming the other in my snaffle until frostbite forced a switch. It didn’t matter how frigid it was. I needed the work. My stomach reminded me that it needed viands, real food. It was tired of stale crackers and second-rate beer. I rode on through the frost.
I rode my bicycle everywhere. I even fashioned leather saddlebags over the front and Nautical stern tires to carry my essential tools. I was the only carpenter I knew without a contact. Yet with two bags of basic tools, I could accomplish almost any job. From that, I felt some pride. I pedaled quickly past a busy construction locale and endured the jeers from workers dressed in expensive coveralls, laughing at me as they leaned against new trucks, sipping their hot drinks. The perfume of fine coffee made my stomach grumble. I thought of my site and felt a bit angry.
I wondered if I was a loser. Success meant having things like a fit job, a wife, a home, kids and pets. I was over thirty and had none of those. I didn’t even own a car. But I took snobbery in limited needs and thought the world would be a better function if more people were like me, common and somewhat content. T-shirts and jeans filled the closet in my apartment, and I liked it that way.
Certainly I wasn’t a sensation. Was I a loser, though? That was a good question. The thought was going through my reprove as I pulled up, hungry and half-frozen, to his driveway for my first conclave with Webster Adams.
Adams hired me as a handyman. He got my name from his neighbor, an long in the tooth woman who had employed me in the past. He came out to meet me in the driveway, walking fast in the brisk air, wearing a collar shirt and slacks. He was taller than regular and thin. He appeared to be in his late fifties. His hair was black and wavy, diverse with streaks of gray. He had very blue eyes.
Adams smiled awkwardly as he surveyed my bicycle. Then he stuck out his side by side and shook mine.
“Your hand is freezing,” he observed, gripping mine harder than I wanted, not sensing the nuisance of near frostbite that I was experiencing.
I smiled and replied, “Joy to meet you, sir. I’m Jon Gruber.”
“Interesting transportation, Mr. Gruber. Principally in this weather.”
His look was one of admiration and concern. I suspected he was deciding whether he had made a slip in hiring me.
“Gets me from point A to B,” I said, disconnecting the front leather bag. I slung it over my accept, hoping to instill some confidence in Adams.
He led me into his house. The entr had a cathedral ceiling with stained glass windows that filled the downstairs with an array of colors, like walking through a rainbow. The passionless floor was finely polished.
My footsteps echoed softly as I followed him down the hallway.
“Should I take off my shoes?” I asked. Adams shook his premier no.
On the walls hung dozens of photos of the happy m: man, wife and pretty daughter. The girl instantly caught my eye. Auburn hair's breadth, easy smile, fit and smart. She had the girl next door look that I was not unexpectedly attracted to.
The stairwell was filled with astronomical works of art, paintings of planets, nebulas and constellations. Things I knew nothing about. Adams paused in a nutshell on the stairs as he passed the largest of the paintings, a planet with a purple core and half-finished blue rings around it. It was a lovely type of work, though I wondered why it was unfinished. He stared at it for a moment, then continued up.
The top surprise was immaculate, with marble counters, leather couches and a plush carpet that led to a stone hearth and fireplace, where a lesser fire crackled. I looked around at the trophies of a successful man and wondered if I would ever have those things.
“I poverty to tear down this wall that separates the kitchen from the great office,” Adams explained. “The idea is to make tracks it one big space.”
“I can do that.”
“Everything?”
“Yeah.”
“How would you get the materials here?”
“Delivery.”
“What would you recommend?” he asked.
I imagined the finished result and said, “I’ll rip out the wallboard and the studs to here, then frame a bar that stretches toward the middle. Then I’ll rewire the electrical, features, paint and whatnot.”
He ended by saying, “I be it to be done well, Jon.”
I answered with a promise that n
